USDA responded to the data-sharing petition in August 31, 2007, ending USDA- Agricultural Research Services’ exclusive use of the Salmonella isolate data. Cooperative agreement stipulated that ARS would share the Salmonella data with USDA/Food Safety Inspection Services (FSIS), which in turn, would share the data with CDC’s PulseNET.
