Everyone eats, yet many people don’t give much thought to the safety of their food, mostly because they don’t believe that contaminated food can do much harm. That simply is not true.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that 3000 people die each year in the United States from foodborne illnesses. According to USDA’s Economic Research Department, foodborne illnesses cost the United States approximately $6.9 billion each year. You can make a difference! You can help support CFI.
